The Israeli Association of Automotive Industries (IAAI), which operates within the framework of the Metal and Electrical Industries Association, comprises approximately 150 members. Their efforts are concentrated mainly on marketing their products on the local market and to automotive industries abroad.
The IAAI’s goal is to unite Israeli manufacturers of automotive equipment and spare parts and to expand their activities.
The IAAI assists its members and other companies to join the OEM and the After Market in the worldwide automotive field and to establish the Israeli automotive industry as a preferred source of procurement throughout the world.
It encourages inter-company cooperation that is aimed at increasing the range and availability of automotive products and technologies, and improving the chances of the Israeli automotive industry to join the global circle of suppliers of these products.
The Association places special emphasis on improving quality systems in planes and adapting them to international standards.
A public board of management heads the IAAI, comprising 12 industrialists and two permanent observers - one from the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute and the other from the Israel Industrial Cooperation Authority.
