The Chemical, Pharmaceutical & Environmental Society numbers approximately 150 companies from the various chemical fields, including:
- Basic chemicals
- Fuel, oils and oil refining
- Fertilizers
- Decontaminants and disinfectants
- Detergents and cosmetics
- Human medications
- Veterinary medications and products
- Biotechnology
- Disposable medical equipment.
In addition, the society is responsible for all environmental issues and activities in the Manufacturers' Association of Israel.
The society's objectives are to represent the interests of the industrial companies atthe Israeli governmental ministries, administrative agencies and bureaus, and public officers, and to promote organizational and entrepreneurial activities for each sector.
The society consists of seven subsidiary branches:
